We use the highest security standards for processing and storing data. CIB collects and uses your personal data exclusively within the framework of legal provisions such as the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the German Federal Data Protection Act ("BDSG"). b. Use of the browser-based application CIB doXiview

CIB doXiview enables the editing of PDF documents:

i. Processing of documents in CIB doXiview

For the use of CIB doXiview, it is necessary that documents and contents for processing are uploaded to the CIB servers. The legal basis for this is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter b GDPR. After processing is complete, all documents, images, and processing results are completely removed from the CIB servers by an automatic deletion process. The CIB servers are exclusively located in Europe.

ii. Release of documents for 'Big Data'

To support the AI training of CIB, you can voluntarily release documents for 'Big Data'. Confidential documents or those containing personal data are excluded from release. Before you hand over a document to the CIB document collection, you can redact confidential content and personal data. The release of the document must be triggered by you explicitly.

iii. Error reporting

If you encounter problems with CIB doXiview, you have the option to send an error report to CIB. In doing so, we collect the following data, which are technically necessary for us to correct the error and ensure stability and security (the legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR):

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Time of the server request

This information is mandatory for error correction. No personalized evaluation of these data is performed.

During an error report, you can also voluntarily submit the affected document. The affected document will be stored for further analysis. Confidential documents or those containing personal data must not be submitted for analysis.

In the context of reporting an error, you may voluntarily provide personal data, such as your email address, for contact by the CIB support team. This and other personal data collected via the communication channel are used exclusively for error analysis and to respond to your support inquiries and are not shared with third parties outside the CIB group. The legal basis for this is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter b GDPR.
