Connecting people, shaping the future – CIB team building in Las Palmas

Last Wednesday, January 21, the second part of our CIB team-building workshop took place at the premises of CIB labs S.L. in Las Palmas. We had already held the first workshop on December 17 as part of our year-end celebrations. We continued where we left off with the second part—with lots of valuable ideas, intensive personal exchanges, and a clear view of the future.

Personal insights and getting to know each other

Personal exchange was the central theme of the two-day workshop. Colleagues had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their work. The workshop offered our new employees the chance to get to know the team and gain valuable insights into CIB Group.

Working models, collaboration, and further development

Another key focus of the workshop was joint reflection on how we work as a team. Among other things, the following topics were discussed:

  • Work locations and attendance models (office, home office, or hybrid)
  • Team contacts and team spirit – both on site and remotely
  • Training opportunities – with AI at the center

In addition, the presentations also focused on knowledge about our customers and our current automation and AI solutions. The aim was to further strengthen the common understanding of the strategic direction of the CIB Group.
In addition, Walter Pérez, CEO of CIB in the Canary Islands, provided interesting insights into current sales activities and successes in Spain.

Looking ahead: Growth and international prospects

Ulrich Brandner, our managing director in Spain and owner of the CIB Group, accompanied the entire workshop and provided exciting insights into the expansion plans for Asia with CIB seven. Singapore is planned as the future location – a state-of-the-art, innovation-driven economic and technology hub and one of the most strategically important hubs in Asia.

Singapore combines excellent digital infrastructure, a stable economic environment, and international networking with a high level of technological expertise. This makes it an ideal location for sustainable growth, expanding our innovative strength, and positioning the CIB Group in Asian markets. The planned team expansion was also discussed in this context.

Conclusion

The team-building workshop in Las Palmas once again demonstrated how important personal interaction, transparency, and mutual understanding are for successful collaboration—especially in an international and hybrid working environment.

We would like to express our gratitude to Ulrich Brander for making these workshops possible and actively promoting open exchange within the CIB Group. We look forward to the next steps we will take together.
