We are pleased to announce the release of CIB smartER 1.0.0! With this first version, we are laying the foundation for the new Knowledge Base: a fully integrated, AI-powered knowledge search with seamless automation in the low-code BPM platform CIB flow. This provides our customers with a central building block for efficient support, sales, and form processes.
CIB smartER combines modern AI technology, semantic search, and process-oriented automation into a solution that intelligently extracts information from communication and forms data, making it immediately usable for daily work.
AI-powered responses directly in CIB flow workflows
CIB smartER enables seamless, AI-supported responses to inquiries directly in CIB flow for the first time. By combining semantic search and full-text search via a vector memory, automatic form classification, and LLM-supported response templates, information from email messages and forms is accurately found, contextualized, and processed in real time for support and sales processes.
The solution generates quality-assured answer suggestions including source references and transparently integrates all results into the existing process interface. At the same time, configurable metadata generation ensures consistent and valuable additional information that is essential for searching, control, and reporting.

Automated form search and classification in CIB flow
CIB smartER reliably recognizes incoming form types and automatically assigns them to the appropriate process paths. This reduces manual effort and significantly speeds up case processing.
Filling the vector memory with email
Emails from support and sales communications are stored in vector memory as a source of knowledge. This means they are available at any time for semantic searches, RAG, and AI-supported response generation.
Support/sales integration, including suggested responses in CIB flow
In CIB flow, employees can create a task with a customer question. The AI then automatically generates a suitable response suggestion, which is clearly formatted and provided as an email template including source references.
All processing takes place in the background, so no technical details are required. The finished response appears directly in your usual workflow and can be accepted or customized immediately.
Configurable prompt list for metadata generation
By default, CIB smartER generates metadata according to the Dublin Core standard. However, users can define any number of metadata prompts to extract additional metadata from content via an LLM. This allows fields to be flexibly expanded, standardized, and optimized for use in downstream processes.
With CIB smartER 1.0.0, a new generation of smart automation is launched based on the BPM platform CIB flow. The close integration of knowledge management, AI, and workflow control makes support, sales, and form processes faster, more precise, and more efficient than ever before.
