The year 2025 began with strong momentum from the AI community. At the Munich Datageeks meetup, experts discussed multimodal AI, automated document classification, and security aspects of modern AI models.
At the same time, we promoted exchange between developers, data scientists, and companies involved in applied AI—and created new spaces for networking, knowledge transfer, and co-creation.
AI, accessibility, and document efficiency
In 2025, we have consistently expanded our AI ecosystem and created CIB smartER, a RAG-based solution that enables highly intelligent, AI-supported searches in extensive document collections.
CIB ridmi also ensures maximum digital accessibility: The tool converts scanned documents and images into accessible PDFs (PDF/UA), optimizes reading order, structure, and alternative texts, and makes information accessible to everyone.Forma
AI Thought Leader Summit 2025
One highlight of our AI engagement was the AI Thought Leader Summit. At the event held at CIB modul-E, industry leaders, specialists, and experts discussed the use of AI in the areas of process automation and document analysis.
Workshops, panel discussions, and networking formats further strengthened our shared vision of ethical, efficient, and accessible AI.
CIB User Group: Over 70 banks and partners united through digitalization.
The specialized sessions featured presentations on successful automation projects using CIB flow, as well as solutions for background processing. In addition, we presented our solutions for improving accessibility.
Our new collaborative online tool supports the growing network and promotes the exchange of best practices.
We are already looking forward to the fourth CIB User Group meeting in May 2026!
CIB seven: Digital sovereignty and a strong alternative in the BPM world
A lot has happened since the release of CIB seven on November 7, 2024. We have proven that we understand the needs of the Camunda 7 community and, with CIB seven, provide a future-proof, license-free open source solution. Integrated data analytics tools such as CIB ins7ght expand the platform with data-driven process analyses, creating additional value. Renowned media outlets such as iX magazine have also reported on this.
Today, more than 1,000 companies already rely on CIB seven – a strong sign of trust, stability, and digital sovereignty.

In order to offer our customers increasingly efficient solutions, we are continuously developing our digitization tools. CIB coSys is the central tool for agile and efficient customer communication in many German administrations. CIB workbench ensures stability in template management, document generation, and version control. CIB format enables the efficient creation of accessible PDF/UA documents. Other solutions such as CIB doxiView, CIB documentServer, CIB pdf toolbox and CIB pdf brewer optimize transformation, visualization, and processing, thereby increasing productivity, traceability, and compliance in high-volume workflows. The AI modules from CIB complement and enhance the performance of over 200 software solutions and modules.
