Ulrich Brandner lays the foundation stone
CIB software GmbH was founded in 1989 by Dipl.-Ing. Ulrich Brandner.
Two years later, the AKDB (Anstalt für Kommunale Datenverarbeitung in Bayern) and the Austrian Armed Forces put their trust in CIB solutions in public administration. In 1995, CIB established itself as a manufacturer of software for banks, insurance companies and government bodies.
Consolidation and growth: CIB consulting GmbH
The expansion of the product portfolio leads to the strategic foundation of CIB consulting GmbH in Karlsruhe.

Expansion to Spain
The active growth phase of the core business continues with the foundation of CIB labs GmbH in Hamburg in 2014 and CIB labs, S.L. in Las Palmas on Gran Canaria in 2015.
The growing interest in our expertise, the constant demand for well-qualified employees in the software sector in Europe and the company's strategy of focusing on finding new partner companies led to the development of nearshoring services.

Portugal and Austria expansion
In 2022, CIB compass Unipessoal Lda. is founded in Lisbon and CIB solutions GmbH is founded in Vienna.
In 2023, we expanded and established CIB's headquarters in Portugal with the purchase of our Faro office.
