In 2022, CIB compass Unipessoal Lda. was founded in Lisbon and CIB solutions GmbH was founded in Vienna.
In 2023, we expanded and established CIB's headquarters in Portugal with the acquisition of our Faro office.

Expansion to Spain
The active growth phase of the core business continues with the foundation of CIB labs GmbH in Hamburg in 2014 and CIB labs, S.L. in Las Palmas on Gran Canaria in 2015.
The increase in interest in our expertise, the constant demand for well-qualified software professionals in Europe and the company's strategy to focus on finding new partner companies led to the development of nearshoring services.

Ulrich Brandner lays the foundation stone
CIB software GmbH was founded in 1989 by Dipl.-Ing. Ulrich Brandner.
Two years later, the AKDB (Anstalt für Kommunale Datenverarbeitung in Bayern) and the Austrian Armed Forces trust the solutions of CIB for public administration. In 1995, CIB established itself as a software producer for banks, insurance companies, and government agencies.
